Progressive Dinner!

Another one of my favorite care groups I have ever done was to plan a progressive dinner. I decorated a school bus, made a special sound track and talked to four of the most committed mothers of the girls. Then we had a salad at one house, appetizers at another, main course somewhere else and finally dessert! Super fun and the girls LOVED it!!!!!!!

International Night

“We did international night last month. It went off really well. We made 3 stations and split the girls into groups. They spent 20 minutes at each one. Every leader made up a place. Chantelle had Japan, she bought sushi and snacks, herbal tea and made origami. Kristy and Baylee did Italy. We set up a fake bar with Italian sodas that Kristy was making and Baylee handed out spaghetti while the girls played mario on wii. I had the Mexico in kitchen and made nachos for the girls, they played pin the tail on the donkey and made mustachios with black paper and stencils I made.

This worked out well because girls naturally split into groups with friends. Making it so the loud girls were all in one crazy group and the quieter girls were in another. With this being said we were able to talk with the quieter girls without the loud ones trying to steal our attention. We were even able to attempt a bible study which ended up being, (due to uninterested listeners) a quick prayer and pits and peeks/writing on a paper what kind of things they want to learn about. But everyone was laughing so I call this care group a success.”

UN-BIRTHDAY PARTY: BEST CARE GROUP EVER????

One of my favorite care group ideas I have ever done with a group that was struggling to bond? An UN-BIRTHDAY PARTY!
I greeted them at the door of my decorated house with a silly hat. We decorated cupcakes and gave them to each others. We made UN birthday cards and sent them around the room for everyone to sign and encourage one another. It was a super fun night! Janine? Kaley? Corin? You were at one of these remember? Was it a favorite for you too????

What was your MOST memorable care group you ever ATTENDED? Your favorite you ever LED?
